Amazon builds 3 more new energy projects

Recently, Amazon announced that it will carry out two and one new renewable energy utilization projects in the United States and Spain, respectively, in order to fulfill its commitment to combat climate change. Amazon plans to realize 80% of energy as renewable energy by 2024, 100% of energy as renewable energy by 2030, and ultimately achieve the goal of zero carbon emissions by 2040.

The project in southeastern Seville, Spain, will open the way for Amazon to pursue renewable energy projects throughout Europe. Upon completion of the project, the newly built solar power plant will be able to generate 149 megawatts of electricity. Located in Lee County, Illinois (Lee County) and northern Virginia, the two new solar energy projects can generate a total of 180 megawatts of power. 3 renewable energy projects are completed, but also for Amazon's operations in Europe network and Amazon Web Services data centers to provide about 329 megawatts of additional power. Amazon Web Services data centers serve Amazon and millions of Amazon Web Services (AWS) users worldwide.

To date, Amazon has launched more than 70 renewable energy projects, including 21 public wind power facilities, solar power plants, and more than 50 solar rooftop power projects installed at distribution centers around the world. These projects will provide more than 1,900 megawatts of electricity.
