The relevant person from GCL said that at present, it is the strategic investment window for the layout of high-efficiency differentiated photovoltaic cell link. With the development of photovoltaic market and the improvement of technology, the demand for high-efficiency and differentiated components is increasing, and the high-efficiency battery cell production capacity has a large gap compared with the market demand. The company's 1600MW high-efficiency differentiated photovoltaic cell project and 250MW ultra-high-efficiency heterogeneous junction photovoltaic cell project will effectively realize the upstream and downstream integration of its industry and promote the synergistic development of the company's business. It is worth noting that GCL has not yet battery cell production capacity, and all battery cell supply comes from external procurement. Increasing its own cell production capacity can not only avoid the delivery of high-efficiency system integration packages due to insufficient cell supply, but also effectively control costs and protect the company's overall profit level.
The announcement shows that the high-efficiency battery project will be based on the development and manufacture of high-efficiency PERC black silicon polycrystalline cells, as well as N-type double-sided monocrystalline cells and heterojunction cells. After the project is put into production, superimposed on the black silicon technology, the P-type PERC polycrystalline cell conversion efficiency is expected to average 19.5%-20.5%, N-type double-sided monocrystalline cell conversion efficiency is expected to average 20%-21%, and heterojunction battery as a commercialized application of the highest efficiency of a photovoltaic cell technology, the heterojunction battery conversion efficiency up to 25.6%, volume of Battery conversion efficiency up to 25.6%, mass production efficiency will reach 23% or so.
According to the announcement, under the mode of "photovoltaic power generation + energy storage system", the existing channels of GCLCL Integration can be used as the channels for the company's energy storage battery system, and at present the first energy storage product has completed the development, and orders have been formed.
