2020/1/10 New Battery Charger Provides the Industry's Lowest Terminal Current

Texas Instruments (TI) today launched a new switch battery charger IC that supports 20 mA terminal current. Compared with the competitors that usually support terminal current higher than 60mA, TI's BQ25619 can increase battery capacity by 7% and achieve longer operation time.
BQ25619 charger also provides three in one boost converter integration and ultra fast charging, providing 95% efficiency at 4.6V and 0.5A output.
In addition, with the industry's lowest static current, the new charger can double the life of ready to use electronics.
