    2024-02-21

Recently, the European Parliament voted to pass the European Battery Regulation.

According to the legislative process of the European Union, after obtaining approval from the European Council, this regulation will officially come into effect and be enforced in EU member states after 20 days.

It should be emphasized that the European Battery Regulation will be the first legal document worldwide to regulate the entire lifecycle of batteries.

Just like being very aggressive in the emission regulations for internal combustion engines, the EU's legislation on batteries this time is also very cutting-edge: whether from the perspective of carbon emissions or promoting resource recycling, it has put forward relatively clear requirements for battery companies.

The new regulations on batteries in the European Union not only require high attention from our battery companies, but also deserve high attention from domestic legislation and administrative agencies.

The EU is relatively leading in environmental protection, and we can also draw on some good content from the EU's various requirements for batteries, which in turn guide and promote the transformation and upgrading of domestic battery enterprises, and reserve legislation for growing and cultivating some globally competitive battery enterprises.
