2019/9/26 Bidding for Renewable Energy & Energy Storage Project in India

    2019-09-26

Indian Solar Company has again tried bidding for renewable energy & energy storage projects. This time, the agency issued a special tender clause, which could lead to lower quotations and attractive purchasing rates for buyers.

Specifically, Solar Energy India has offered developers a 1.2 gigawatt renewable energy & energy storage project tender. According to the bidding conditions, developers can build wind, solar or hybrid projects. The scale of any project should be between 50 and 300 MW, while the group company can bid for projects with maximum capacity of 600 MW.

Bidding is issued in accordance with the policy of the central government, which is part of the inter-state transmission system planning and allows bidders to choose their own site for construction. Solar Energy India will look for distribution companies interested in purchasing electricity from these renewable energy & energy storage projects, and then sign long-term power purchase agreements with them, up to 25 years.
